What is Seconds by Mai?

Seconds by Mai is an online shop selling high-quality Scandinavian second-hand items, curated by the Stockholm-based Mai. Mai is an online seller service, launched in 2021, helping individuals and brands to resell premium garments from their wardrobes.

Who am I buying from?

You are purchasing the item from a private individual, who has decided to sell it via the Swedish platform Mai. They pack and ship the item to you, but we take full responsibility of that the quality matches the description and images.

The Clothing

Do you lower the price or have items on sale?

We adjust the prices as the time passes, until the item gets sold or is taken down from the shop. That happens after 30 days or 60 days, depending on the sellers choice.

What is the standard of the clothes?

We request that all items adhere to our rules in order to be approved. The seller needs to list the item, describe the condition, and point out potential flaws. Fake brands are not approved.

What can I expect from the different conditions?

  • New, with tags: Indicates the product is unused and has the price tag attached.
  • New, without tags: Indicates the product is unused but lacks the price tag.
  • Used, without remarks: Indicates the item has been used and is not brand new, with signs of normal wear, although there are no specific defects to note.
  • Used, signs of wear: Indicates the item shows signs of not being new. Any defects present are separately noted. If there is a discrepancy in the item's condition from the advertisement, we offer a claim and provide the seller with a warning.

Delivery & Shipping

When will I get my order?

When the item is shipped from the seller you will get an email from us with a tracking-link where you can follow the shipping status of your item in real time.

Most items are shipped within 3 days from the purchase date, and no later than 7 weekdays from the purchase date. In the few cases when we're not able to do so, you have the right to cancel the purchase and be refunded the whole amount or get a discount. When an item is shipped, it usually takes 7 days for the logistics company to deliver it to you.

How much is the shipping?

The shipping fee varies depending on the weight:

  • Up to 250g: 5 euro
  • Up to 500g: 6 euro
  • Up to 1kg: 7 euro
  • Up to 2kg: 10 euro

To which countries do you ship?

We ship to all countries in the EU.

How is my purchased item sent?

The seller is shipping the item directly to you, in a Mai-branded bag. It is shipped with the logistics firm PostNord, and will be delivered to your closest postal agent.

When the item is shipped you will receive an email with a tracking-link to follow the shipment in real time.

How much time do I have to pick up my parcel?

When the item has arrived to the postal agent, you have 7 days to pick it up before it is returned.

Can I combine shipping of multiple items?

Most items are sent from different individuals and hence combined shipping is not possible in most common cases. If you have questions about specific items, you can contact us.

Can I change my delivery address?

The item is shipped to the delivery address you choose in checkout. If you need to change it after the purchase, you can write to us in the chat and we will see what we can do.

What happens if I don’t pick up my package from the postal agent?

If the package is not collected within 7 days, it will be returned to the sender. It's important that you pick up your package within this time to avoid any potential issues.

What happens if my item never arrives?

If your item is late, and does’t ship within 7 full working days of purchase, you will have the option to cancel and receive a full refund. If your item never arrives, we will issue you a full refund.

What happens if my item gets lost in the mail?

In case an item gets lost in the mail by PostNord, we take full responsibility and refund you for the item.

Returns & Reclaims

Returns & Reclaims

Mai does not offer free returns, but offer the right to reclaim if the item differs significantly from the described condition. Reclaims need to be made by contacting us at the latest of 14 days after the item has been received. We apply the same policy as other equivalent services.
